Cause:

The wrong type of arguments or operand is entered in the formula. The problem also occurs when the formula refers to cells that contain conflicting values (for example, a formula performing mathematical operation refers to cells that contain text entries).

Solution:

Select the arguments, operands, and/or references used in the formula for invalid values.
